Grand Isle, Maine
Grand Isle is a town in northeast Aroostook County. Grand Isle was first organized as part of Van Buren Plantation from Township 18 R3 in 1843. Grant Isle Plantation was set off from Van Buren Plantation in 1859. It was incorporated as a town in 1869, and changed its name to Grand Island in 1872.
