The FamilySearch Wiki encourages users to submit images that improve the content of the FamilySearch Wiki and are appropriate to the Wiki. Unfortunately, not all images are small enough to make them usable on the Wiki. Below are instructions on how to re-size, edit, and compress images so they will be more suitable to submit to the FamilySearch Wiki.


Editing Images Using Picnik

Visit Picnik.com, and click "Upload Photo." File:Picnik1.png To use the basic Picnik tools, it is not necessary to register. By clicking "Upload Photo," the user's computer browser will open up File:Picnik2.png, and the user will be able to locate and upload the photo that needs to be re-sized or edited. File:Picnik3.png Once the image appears online at Picnik, click on the [Image:picnik4.png]]. The resizing toolbar will appear above the imageFile:Picnik5.png. Type in the new dimensions. The new image size will appear in the window below. File:Picnik6.png Click “OK” to save the changed dimensions.
