     FamilySearch has online digital records, searchable databases, and microfilm records for millions of people with Hispanic ancestors.  Online digital Hispanic records are added almost weekly and are listed by country in FamilySearch Record Search .  Online database record sets are searchable through FamilySearch Advanced Search. Microfilm Hispanic civil and church records are listed by country in the Family History Library Catalog and may be ordered and viewed at a Family History Center near you. Hispanic Genealogy Presentations

The 2007 Hispanic Genealogy Conference at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City are no longer available However the following videos are a FamilySearch:

1.Crossing the Frontera If your ancestor crossed the U.S. border from Mexico between 1895 and 1957, you may want to try searching for him or her in Border Crossing records. This class will give you a little background information about the records and their content. It will also show you how they can be used to identify your ancestor’s home town in Mexico. The class includes a case study and important search tips and techniques.

2.Pedir Certificado de Nacimiento en Espana mediante internet in Spanish

3.U.S. Hispanic Immigrants: Finding their Place of Origin This class will give you some ideas of different record types you can use to help identify the country of origin for your Hispanic ancestor who came to the U. S. The examples used in the class are mainly for immigrants who came in the late 1800s and 1900s but the principles are applicable for those who came earlier as well.
