The Italy, Mantova, Civil Registration (State Archive) collection is available to the Family History Library, FamilySearch Centers, and to members of the supporting organization, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Italian Data Privacy rules prohibit viewing the following records: All birth images must be 100 years or older; all marriage images must be 70 years or older, and all death images must be 70 years or older.
This collection includes records from 1805 to 1816 and 1829 to 1830.
This collection contains civil registration (stato civile) of births, marriages, and deaths within the custody of the State Archive of Mantova (Archivio di Stato di Mantova). Also includes ten-year indexes (indici decennali), marriage banns (notificazioni o pubblicazioni), supplemental records (allegati), etc. Availability of records is largely dependent on time period and locality.

Please note, if you are researching in the frazione di San Nicolò Po be aware that this little hamlet was divided and shared between the Italian towns of Bagnolo San Vito and Borgoforte. As a result, you may need to search the records of all three places for your ancestors.
