Izard County, Nebraska was formed 16 Mar 1855 from Burt and non-county area. Finally in 26 Jan 1856 this county was redefined; territory formerly party of Cumming County, Loup County, and McNeale County was added. Izard County renamed on 10 January 1862 to Stanton_County. [1]
