Le Havre, France

Le Havre is a French commune and port in the department of Seine-Maritime in northwest France at the mouth of the Seine River where it flows into the English Channel.  

In the 19th century this was an embarkation port for many emigrants from Alsace, Switzerland, and the southwest German dynastic states.
