NEWICK (St. Mary), a parish, in the union of Chailey, hundred of Barcomb, rape of Lewes, E. division of Sussex, 4¾ miles (W.) from Uckfield.[1]

Newick St Mary is an Ancient Parish in the Lewes district of East Sussex and includes: Schoolhouse, Painters, Newick Park, Bretts, Goldbridge, Broomley, and Lane End.
