The Hospital for Sick Children at Great Ormond Street in London was England first in-patient children’s hospital. Small and Special is an online collection of resources, including a database to admission records, 1852-1914. You can learn about a patient or medical staff member.

A search in the admission records is free. Some information can only be viewed by registered users. Search for a name. A list of results appears. When you click on a name, you will personal details; residence; admission and stay; disease, outcome and discharge.

For an example of the search results, look for Alice Johnson.
