Perkins is an extinct plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the South Franklin townships of Franklin County, Maine. In 1858 Perkins Plantation was set off from the largest portion of Plantation Number Four (created in 1849 from part of Carthage). Perkins surrendered its plantation organization in 1901, and has since remained unorganized territory.[1]
