Photoduplication Services Discontinued
Photoduplication is a service provided by the Family History Library to provide copies of documents available in the library to patrons for their personal use and research.
The Family History LIbrary now provides digital copies of items in the catalog. To request digital photocopies from the Family History Library you can now e-mail your request to Photoduplication@familysearch.org.
You MUST include the Film or Fiche number, item number, Name of Individual you are researching, Title of record and name of parents, spouse, grantor, grantee, etc, Event type (Birth, Death or Marriage), Complete event date and place, Parish and volume or page number and registration or Certificate Number and any other information that will be helpful in locating your record. You no longer need to use a form, however, if you would like to use the old form, you may email it to us.
We must also have your complete name, address, telephone number and email address.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can either fax the request to 801-240-1584 or mail to: Photoduplication Unit, Family and Church History Department, 50 E North Temple St, Rm 599, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150-3400.
PLEASE LIMIT YOUR REQUEST TO FIVE (5) DOCUMENTS PER REQUEST PER WEEK! Photocopies of works which are currently protected by copyright are limited to 10 pages or 10% of the work, whichever is less. We don't make copies of an entire work.
You may request copies of select pages from the index of a record. After you receive the index, you can send a second order requesting the specific pages you need.
There is no charge for this service AS LONG AS WE E-MAIL THE COPIES to you. If we need to mail them, there is a $2.00 fee per copy with a $4.00 minimum charge per order which can be paid by check or credit card.
