The Pittsburgh Mapping and Historic Site Viewer, found here, is a unique mapping system that overlays Pittsburgh maps from 1835 through 1939. The map data was obtained from the University of Pittsburgh's Digital Research Library. Using this viewer, the user can search for a landmark or address and view that location over time by moving a slider.
