History

Parent County

Robertson County was created on 14 December 1837 and organized in 1838 from Milam County. County seat: Old Franklin (1838-1850); Wheelock (1850-1855); Owensville (1855-1860); Calvert (1860-1879); Morgan, later renamed Franklin (1879-present). In 1825 the county was included in the Robertson Colony.
