Talk:Quebec, Catholic Parish Registers (FamilySearch Historical Records)
Much html coding showing on this page. I don't have the time to fix it right now and don't have the skills to do it efficiently anyway. Hope this will alert editors to the issue. Viewing it in Firefox in case it does work ok in other browsers. Laralee 21:16, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
I went through and fixed most of it. i was not sure what was being done. But I restored the link from FamilySearch back to this article and cleaned it up a bit. LakeCL 16:16, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Citation example for Quebec Catholic Church registers
FamilySearch recently combined many of the registers from small volumes of 100 - 200 pages into very large ones of 600 - 700 pages. This changes all of the years ranges and image numbers so any previous citations are now obsolete.
If you search someone in this collection you will see an automatically generated citation appear at the bottom of the results page. Here is one example from this collection:
Citing this Record
"Quebec, Catholic Parish Registers, 1621-1979," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JDT5-5YT : accessed 17 Sep 2012), Jane Smith, 1857; citing FHL microfilm 1031678.
I think this will solve the problem referred to above as this project is completed. In the long run the parish name should be listed in the citation based on the microfilm number and other data in the results page.
