The Pacific Islander material deleted from this article has been re-inserted.

This article is part of a series in the Pacific Island Guide to Family History Research. Please do NOT remove or move Pacific Island content in this article to other pages. Notice that this article is titled "Step 8. Find ancestors on the IGI." The part about "Step 8" is a clue that this article is intended to be part of a larger series.

If you would like to write a generic article about how to find ancestors in the International Genealogical Index you are welcome and invited to write your own separate article without any mention of Pacific Islanders. You are also welcome to use any of the content found in this article if it would be useful to you. Feel free to modify it, but please copy it to your own separate article first.

And please do not chastise a contributor for putting Pacific Islander material in an article that is part of the Pacific Island Guide to Family History Research.      Diltsgd 23:25, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
