Tuesday 12:00pm-4pm, 6:00pm - 8:30pm 
Wednesday 12:00pm-4:00pm, 6:00pm-8:30pm,
Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm.

Collections

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. 

Hardware and Equipment

  • Our facility has several computers, two microfilm readers, and printing capabilities. We also recommend bringing a thumb drive in order to save information for later access.

Center Services

Staff Research Specialties

We have staff members that are very experienced in teaching and researching genealogy. English, German, and African America research are among the specialties of our Family History Consultants and patrons.


Resources in the Local Area

In our area we have our Topeka Shawnee Co. Public Library,  Kansas State Historical Society (in a new building with the Museum) the Topeka Genealogical Society, Germans from Russia just to name a few organizations in the area.
