Evva was born in Arizona but graduated from high school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is (sadly) an only child. Evva attended Brigham Young University and in the middle of her schooling served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil and Florida. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and eating cheese. Evva's own ancestors hail from England, Denmark, and Scotland, with one very obscure Goheen line that most likely comes from Ireland although it is probably too early to be traceable.
Evva graduated with Bachelors' degrees in Family History and Economics from BYU.
Evva is an accredited genealogist researcher in England and Ireland.
Evva has worked at the Family History Library since 2000 as a British reference consultant. In fall of 2008 she became the patron service manager of the British floor. In addition to her accreditations, she also has expertise in Scotland and Wales and is vaguley familiar with the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, British East India, Australia, and New Zealand. Evva has taught at a number of genealogy workshops and conferences, and will be teaching two classes at the upcoming NGS conference in Salt Lake City: "England and Wales: Solving Problems Using Probate Records" and "Lesser-Known Irish Sources at the Family History LIbrary."
