I add things to the wiki when I see a need.
I never intended to hurt anyone. I change things when there is no source or if it is obvious that it has been copied and pasted, because that violates copyright laws. I also go down parish by parish and much of it has not been done, and what was there had no references. I will find another county and return to this one later and check on your progress.
The consultants at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City are the ones who have asked us to use the gazetteers. They only want basic information so that as you look at the page you see the jurisdictions, whether it is a parish or chaplry as well as hamlets and nonconformist churches. Those things you can see at a glance and help you in furthering your research. Longer entries are nice but are considered fluff. Which is why we keep them short then refer them to the web site that has more information. We do occasionnally use other gazetteers and resources. My favorite is Wilson's because it gives the registration district which we use a lot in our research. I like google books but it is more difficult to enter a reference for them. I have also used books we have at the FHL. You do good work, I can tell you spend a lot of time on it. Good as you continue your work.
