Normally we do not allow list of people in FamilySearch Wiki. We encourage articles on topics with links to such lists. You could write about the disaster and then link to a site with this list. We will wait for a few days for the changes. Let us know if we can help you with this or if you have any questions.
I'm working on an article related to the <a href="FamilySearch Record Search Updates">Record Search Updates</a> article and would love to ask you some questions about what you've put together. I see the article dates back to January 2010, but the only Records update listed is for December 2010. Are the earlier grids of records releases available somewhere?

By way of introduction, my name is Ben Bennett and I’ve recently joined the FamilySearch team as the product manager for the Wiki and Forums. Put simply, my job is to ensure that your experience, as contributors and users of the Wiki and Forums is excellent. To this end, an apology is in order.
As you know, we recently implemented a new user ID/sign in process for the FamilySearch Wiki. As we implemented this new system, I personally heard from many of you. You shared with me problems that were occurring for you as you tried to sign in, edit or do other things that resulted in lost work, lost time and frustration for you, our key contributors and users. Please accept my sincere apology for the poor performance and poor experience associated with the Wiki during the past few weeks. Please also accept my commitment that the FamilySearch team will learn from this experience and do all that we can to prevent situations like this in the future. Template for Record Search has a problem

When used, the template inserts the URL pilot.familysearch.org as the display text, but uses the correct www.familysearch.org URL. I would like to have it display the www.familysearch.org rather than pilot.familysearch.org, but I can't find anywhere in the redirected template that has the word pilot in it, so I don't know what to change.
- Claire, if you bring up the Ireland page, you can change the individual references to "pilot" in the templates. Once you're in wikitext, just delete the word, "pilot". You can search for them by using ctrl+f and typing in "Pilot" and it will highlight each one. I fixed one in the marriage section. I don't see the reference in the original template either, but this is one way to fix them on this page. Also, the references to IGI need to be updated. I have noticed that the template "British Census" is being put on every parish page. Since I did not like the format of it I created 2 other census templates that add additional parameters. The templates are <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Template:Suffolk Census">Template:Suffolk Census</a> and <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Template:British Census2">Template:British Census2</a> It has to be remembered that these templates are drafts and subject to change. I would question putting the template "British Census" on every page because if one parameter changes in the template every page will have to be visited again to make that unique change. It is poor judgement to think that every parish page in England needs this template. I had Steve take the time to put a link on every parish page in Suffolk to the Suffolk Census page. Now most of those links are gone, replace with this template.
I do not think that the 500 parish pages in Suffolk need a link to ancestry.com, findmypast.com and the other websites. There are pages created specifically that talk about these websites and it is easy to link to those pages. From what I see someone plans to put this specific template on the 10,000 parish page in England.
I'm not going to go around changing that template, but if I am working on a speciifc parish, I will change that template to another one, those mentioned above or another one.<a href="User:Donjgen">Donjgen</a> 23:19, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but yes we are adding this to each parish with the help of our missionaries with the following thought in mind, "I just found out my family is from Linton in Cambridge, I've been using the wiki to help me and I'll check there to see what they have." Most individuals go to the place they know first, something we have learned by statistics and when coming to the reference counter at a center or the main library. Even in forums and community research pages on facebook show that most individuals know a specific place long before they know county. This is the reasoning behind the template. If you would like to work together to modify the current template I would be open to that, but other wise we will continue to slowyly work through all the parishes. Note that while we are there we are also updating other items that may not have been populated either.

You put a note on the Harlte. Durham page to have it deleted. I just want to be sure that it shouldn't be re-titled to Hartle Pool. Is it possible that the article is about that locaility instead of just Hartle? I don't want to delete the page if that's all that needs to be done. Could you let me know? We reviewed it's pages and there was nothing of any worth on the page and we created Hartlepool and added the necessary information.
