Parish History

WASHINGTON, a parish, in the union of Thakeham, hundred of Steyning, rape of Bramber, W. division of Sussex, 10 miles (N. W.) from Shoreham. This parish is situated on the road from London to Worthing. The church is in the early English style. [1]
